on my way home last night from ponyang's house i tooked a jeepney ride from frisco to our place. its 15 mins before midnight and i was really scared, coz im not used to going home that late without a company.
on the jeep i was with people who looked very tired, but something really catches my eye, and that was the three kids that was in front of me (two boys and a girl). the girl is holding a nuts packed in small plastic, i think she was selling it. the older boy was holding a plastic as well, containing broth of some sort (it may be chicken or beef) i assume that would be their dinner.
that particular scene made me realize these things;
- how lucky i am that once i got home ill be lying down on a comfy bed, with pillows and sheets.
- how lucky i am that i was able to eat more than three times a day and sometimes even not finish it.
- how lucky i am, that ill be able to take a cab ride whenever im tired.
- how lucky i am that whenever im bored, i got my computer and ps2 that i can play with.
- how lucky i am that i got the chance to go to a mall, eat on some resto, drink coffee on an expensive brewing house etc.
- how lucky i am that i grew-up with proper education and having a job that really makes me earn good money.
- how lucky i am that i have such simple things like water, shelter and clothing.
these is all have, but still most of the time i will not feel that what i have is enough. made me think last night that i should be more than happy with what i have right now. i should learn to be contented on what's it front of me and be very thankful that i have it rather than nothing at all....
